Aston Villa make offer for Harold Moukoudi

Aston Villa are still looking to bring a couple of loan additions to the club this summer with the transfer window set to close in the coming days.

And, according to a report by Foot Mercato, the Villans have identified Harold Moukoudi as one of the men they want to bring to the Championship this season.

The French media outfit have even claimed that Steve Bruce’s side have tabled an offer of €1.1million to bring the Le Harve defender to Villa Park on a season-long loan.

It is even stated that there would be an option to sign him permanently in January for €7.7m on a four-year deal, although it is believed that the 20-year-old would prefer to continue his development by remaining in France.

Bruce is keen to add reinforcements to his squad this summer after a difficult period earlier in the window and has already used the loan market to his advantage.

The Villans have seen the likes of Anwar El Ghazi, Andre Moreira and Yannick Bolasie already arrive, but they are lacking numbers in the defensive areas.

The Verdict:

Should Aston Villa be able to land Moukoudi, it would be considered a coup for the club this summer.

The 20-year-old is highly thought off in France and is believed to be one of the next rising stars to come through the ranks at Le Harve.

The £900k-rated defender, as per Transfermarkt, would immediately bolster their defence and would help to improve the club’s chances of returning to the Premier League.
