Aston Villa should bring in Robert Snodgrass and Tammy Abraham

Aston Villa will have their eyes set firmly on promotion back to the Premier League after falling at the final hurdle last time out.

Steve Bruce would have feared for his job towards the start of the summer transfer window, but things have changed for the better and the club’s new owners are looking to stamp their authority. So, with the loan window still open until the end of the month, perhaps the Villains should look to create a squad worthy of promotion.

Indeed, the Villains managed to make it to the Championship play-off final last time out, but couldn’t make it past Premier League side Fulham at Wembley. But, with an added incentive to go one better than last time out, Steve Bruce will be desperate to make full use of the owner’s backing.

One name that the Championship club could take a look at is a Premier League outcast that Villa supporters will be very familiar with, and that is Robert Snodgrass.

The Scotsman enjoyed arguably one of the most successful seasons in his career at Villa Park last season as he managed to score eight goals and assisted 13 for his teammates. Indeed, after witnessing those statistics in the last campaign, there’s no reason as to why Villa shouldn’t return for the wide man before the end of the month.

Also, the Villains should take a look at bringing in another Premier League man that has already thrived in the Championship, with Tammy Abraham possibly being available considering the array of talent at Chelsea.

Of course, the Englishman has already shown that he can find the back of the net in the Championship as he established himself as one of the hottest prospects in English football during his time at Bristol City, scoring 26 goals and assisting four in all competitions. So, with the Villains lacking a bit of potency at the pinnacle of the attack this season, perhaps Tammy Abraham can fire them into the Premier League.
