Bruce could be prepared to give Aston Villa outcast second chance

Aston Villa fans in the Transfer Tavern will be devastated with what is going on at their club and will want a solution to their problems to be sorted quickly.

The club are currently suffering heavily from the fall out of their Play-Off final defeat to Fulham as they face concerns with the Financial Fair Play regulations. The problem has grown so big at Villa Park that owner Dr Tony Xia is looking sell up.

John Terry had to leave the club due to the financial pressures and Steve Bruce may have to entertain the possibility of selling Jack Grealish to ease the pressures, however, the Birmingham Mail are stating that the club could be prepared to give one man the chance to return to the first-team.

Tommy Elphick is thought to be the favourite to take over from the former England and Chelsea captain, despite having only played three Championship matches for the Villans last season. The defender did spend the last half of the campaign on loan to Reading, however, it appears Bruce could be ready to take another look at him following his performances for the Royals.

Landlord’s Verdict

The Aston Villa fans in the Tavern will be disappointed that the club has got themselves into the mess they are in and will hope they can find themselves a solution rather quickly.

Elphick impressed during his loan spell with Reading and could easily come in and fill the void that Terry has left and the locals will be hopeful he can help make a difference being back in the side as soon as possible.
