Aston Villa will be desperate to get back to winning ways after the international break as they were thumped 4-1 by Sheffield United.
The Villains will have their sights set on securing an automatic promotion place in the current campaign after dealing with the heartache of a play-off final defeat. Although, it looks as if they’ve suffered a setback in their pursuit of a transfer target, as according to Gianluca Di Marzio, John Terry is undergoing a medical ahead of supposed move to Russian side Spartak Moscow.

And, it’s believed that he will fill the void left by Samuel Gigot who is expected to miss the rest of the campaign with injury.

The central defender was impressive during his time at Villa Park last season and will no doubt be just as impressive if he does end up moving to Spartak Moscow.
However, this is a huge setback for the Villains as they’re in desperate need of a leader at the heart of the defence, and Steve Bruce was so invested in landing the 37-year-old
So, it looks as if the Championship club will now have to reconsider their defensive options, with a central defender being a must if they are to challenge for promotion.
