‘Love seeing you play for Villa’ – Aston Villa fans go mad on Twitter after 25-year-old’s post

The Villa fans in the Transfer Tavern are absolutely loving this post from their club’s 25-year-old striker, Scott Hogan. Hogan scored Villa’s third and final goal as they put Reading to the sword at Villa Park. The win ends the Villains’ three-match run without a win and will provide the club with momentum going into their last few Championship games before the Play-Offs.

The win for Steve Bruce’s side keeps them in touching distance with Fulham as they sit two points off of the London outfit in fourth. Whilst the automatic promotion places now look a long way away for the Birmingham club, gaining momentum and getting some wins behind them will be crucial as they prepare to gear up for the playoffs at the end of the season.

The Villa Park faithful have six games in England’s second flight to look forward to before they enter the playoffs and with the club looking more and more likely to finish 4th given the form of Fulham and the gap between them and 5th, it looks increasingly likely that the club will be facing off against Derby in the playoffs come summer. Premier League promotion will be on the minds of every Villa fan at the moment as they aim for a quick return to the top flight after losing their Premier League status back in 2016. If the club is serious about returning to the top division, the goals of Hogan will be crucial to Steven Bruce and co.
