‘Please take him!’ – Selection of Aston Villa fans happy for £450k-rated flop to leave

There have been a few high-profile exits at Aston Villa this summer, with more expected to follow.

John Terry, Robert Snodgrass and Sam Johnstone, have all left Villa Park, while Jack Grealish is also set to depart with Tottenham closing in on a move for the 22-year-old, according to the Daily Mirror, as manager Mauricio Pochettino looks to find competition for Dele Alli.

And now, as reported by the Birmingham Mail, like Johnstone, reserve goalkeeper Mark Bunn could be announced as a West Brom player.

The Baggies are said to be considering an approach for £450k-rated (via Transfermarkt) Bunn, who is currently at Villa’s Portuguese pre-season training camp competing against Jed Steer and Matija Sarkic, with manager Steve Bruce hoping that one of the three can step in for the departed Johnstone.

With both Steer and Sarkic already at the club and, considering the other areas of Villa’s squad that needs or will need urgent attention, losing a backup shot-stopper like Bunn should be the least of Bruce’s concerns right now.

Have a look at what Aston Villa fans have had to say on Bunn below…
