Rangers considering loan move for Ross McCormack

Steven Gerrard could look to bring back one of the Light Blues’ former players with his current club keen to shift him on.

According to a report by TeamTALK, Rangers are considering to bring Ross McCormack to Ibrox this summer after Aston Villa have told him to look for a new club.

It is understood that the Gers are thought to be keen on signing the striker on a loan deal and could have an advantage of luring the 31-year-old over other potential suitors.

Sunderland and teams in Turkey are thought to be interested in taking the Scotland international, however, it is understood that he would prefer to remain in Great Britain, following a temporary stay in Australia.

Gerrard is said to be keen on adding another forward player to his ranks, as he currently has just Alfredo Morelos and Umar Sadiq at Ibrox currently.

The Verdict:

McCormack could turn out to be an excellent addition for Rangers to acquire this summer, although there will be some concerns.

The Scotland international is thought to be on a hefty wage at the Villans and has also earned himself a reputation that is not always favourable.

However, he would certainly prove to be a useful member of the squad if he did join as he would be able to pass on some significant experience and knowledge to the two current strikers of the team.
