Report: Bruce could look to forgotten trio as problems continue to mount at Villa

Aston Villa fans in the Transfer Tavern will be concerned with what is currently going on at the club and will hope things can be in a better position by the time the season starts.

The Villan’s financial position still remains largely in doubt, despite the club having its hopes of fresh investment being raised, and owner Dr Tony Xia is expected to make a decision next week about the offers he has received.

Steve Bruce will also need to make a number of key decisions when it comes to the players he has still in his squad, with John Terry having already departed and Jack Grealish expecting to leave in the summer.

According to a report in the Express and Star, the Villans could turn to a trio of players who found themselves out of the fold last season as they look to try and rebuild.

It is believed Tommy Elphick, Aaron Tshibola and Gary Gardner could all come back into the first-team frame having all spent last season on loan at other clubs, although the players will want certain assurances from Bruce about their futures at the club,

Landlord’s Verdict

The Villa fans will be devastated that the club currently finds itself in the situation it is in and will be hoping things can get sorted pretty quickly. The locals will know that the side will need to make the most of what they have got and will be hopeful the likes of Elphick, Tshibola and Gardner can do the job required of them if they are called upon.
