Aston Villa have struggled to find their feet in the Championship this season but they could still climb their way up the table to secure a play-off spot.
The Villains will be desperate to ensure some consistency under the guidance of Dean Smith after a hugely disappointing start to the campaign under Steve Bruce.
However, the Midlands club have plenty of other things to worry about besides a place in the play-offs, with there being potential departures in the January transfer window.
Smith has a couple of fringe players at the club at this moment in time and needs to make more room for any potential January additions, so it’s about time he and Nassef Sawiris worked together to get rid of any wasted talent.
With that in mind, Smith and Sawiris must shift this flop in January…
Albert Adomah played a huge part in Aston Villa’s push for promotion via the play-off last season under Steve Bruce, but he has struggled to produce any form in the current campaign.
Indeed, the midfielder seems to be past his best at Villa Park having only produced one assists in the current campaign, which is hugely disappointing after witnessing his 15 goals and seven assists last season.
So, it’s about time Sawiris and Smith worked together to move the 30-year-old on to another club, with the opportunity to bring in someone likes Ollie Watkins as his replacement.
