Aston Villa fans will be inclined to think that their squad is good enough to send them back into the Premier League, at the third time of trying since their relegation in 2016.
The Villans have been on a rollercoaster journey ever since that day but now under the guidance of Dean Smith, Villa can dream once again.
His start to life at Villa Park has been nothing short of great, yet with a full transfer window to make improvements, things could soon become a lot better.
Aston Villa will find their main problem being the defence, specifically, the lack of options they have should injuries occur.
In a campaign at least 46 games long, Villa need back-up and who better than Watford centre-back Sebastian Prodl to offer just that?
Prodl, who is valued at £3.6 million on Transfermarkt, has been completely demoted by Watford whilst only make one Premier League appearance this season.
He is unused and frankly unwanted, with the Hornets ready to see the back of the Austrian international.
It seems that Watford have short memories though. It was only last campaign that Prodl was a valuable defender key to getting rid of any trouble to their goal.
He helped keep six clean-sheets in the 22 appearances he made, whereas in the other 16 league games, they could only manage three clean-sheets without him.
Prodl is a leader, a very experienced player and one that would make a fantastic signing at Villa Park, in place of Micah Richards for example.
With a strong move like this, Aston Villa can be sure of their promotion chances being up to scratch, with the power then to chop and change defenders to find the best solution.
