However, Steve Bruce’s side will come up against an unbeaten Brentford side on Wednesday at Villa Park, although he will have the bonus of no new injury concerns, according to a report by BBC Sport.
Aston Villa are coming off the back of a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town at Portman Road last Saturday and will be looking to win their opening two home games for the first time since 2010-11.
Jonathan Kodjia will have been given a confidence boost ahead of the tie as he finally managed to find the back of the net in their encounter with the Tractor Boys and will be looking to add more to his tally against the Bees.
Aston Villa have started their season of extremely well, considering the chaos they went through in the summer.
The Griffin Park outfit will certainly not be an easy affair for the Villans to navigate, however, with the bonus of no new injury concerns, they will feel confident of being able to get a result.
However, Brentford themselves are yet to taste defeat this season and will pose a significant threat to Bruce’s side on Wednesday.
