Aston Villa’s squad is pretty good, but there’s no denying that there is room for improvement between the sticks. The Villains have conceded 30 goals this season, which is more than most in the Championship, and so that’s clearly a problem.
We recently made the claim that Chelsea teenager Marcin Bulka would be a good acquisition. He’s not playing at Stamford Bridge, but he looked good for the Blues throughout the summer.
It appears as though many Aston Villa fans agree. We asked them whether they’d like to see Bulka at Villa Park, and in response, 67% of those polled have revealed that they would like to see him move.
Bulka is yet to make a senior start for Chelsea in the Premier League. Indeed, he’s yet to make a single competitive appearance. However, his talent was clear for all to see over the summer, and he’s far better than being Chelsea’s 4th choice option.
He’s unproven, granted, but sometimes risky moves like that can pay off, and John Terry likely knows all about him from his time at Stamford Bridge.
January will be a hard time to bring in a new goalkeeper, but Bulka would likely be available, and at 6ft5, he’d be a huge signing – in more ways than one.
