Bielsa’s harsh system should mean these 2 Leeds United stars are rotated tonight

It’s been a perfect start to life at Leeds United for Marcelo Bielsa.

The Argentine will be pleased with how things are going at Elland Road. Bielsa has guided his Whites side to nine points from nine in the Championship, and his side have played with a high-press and a real attacking intent. In those three victories, Leeds United have overcome Stoke City and Derby County, both teams expected to be competing at the right end of the table come the end of the season.

However, given the high levels of energy Bielsa expects, he might need to rotate a few first-team regulars for tonight’s match against Swansea City, the Swans have enjoyed a solid start to life in the Championship without really looking too convincing.

With that in mind, here are two Leeds United stars who should be rotated tonight…

Kemar Roofe

Roofe has been in blistering form so far this season for the Whites. He has put in a major contribution in every game, including two goals, to help Leeds to three successive victories.

However, it may be wiser to give Patrick Bamford a chance in the starting line up and let Roofe make an impact from the bench in South Wales. His pace from the bench could damage tired Swansea City defenders late on.

It would also mean he was fresh for Leeds’ trip to Carrow Road on Saturday.

Samuel Saiz

Lewis Baker could be the perfect player for the game against Swansea City, and help them gain possession in the middle of the park. Swansea are a side which can be hard to compete with if they see too much of the ball and become too comfortable on the ball.

Saiz is an excellent player but Bielsa won’t want to wear the Spaniard out, considering he demands such high levels of energy from the player.
