Birmingham City are one of a gaggle of sides just outside the play-off places at the moment and the Blues will be hoping that they can get on a run and force themselves into the top six sooner rather than later.
The Blues have been a bit up and down this year, but they’ve shown that they are capable of challenging this season, and that will have buoyed fans.
Indeed, worries were rife in the summer when the likes of Garry Monk, Jota and Che Adams all left the club – as they naturally would be – but so far the men from St Andrew’s have given a good account of themselves this season.
Pep Clotet seems to be doing a decent enough job, too, with him nominated for the October Manager of the Month award in the Championship:
