Yesterday saw an action-packed day of Championship action unfold before our eyes, and none more so than at Loftus Road where QPR and Birmingham put on a real spectacle. the travelling side went 4-0 up in the first half before letting it slip to 4-3, then, in the 93rd minute Lee Camp pulled out a huge save to deny Nahki Wells from the spot.
90+4 SAVED! Camp to the rescue as he denies Wells from the spot!

Lee Camp is a player who often comes in for a lot of stick from the Birmingham fans. However, the 34-year-old may have let three past him when Gary Monk’s side went into injury time with a narrow lead, but he wasn’t prepared to let anything else past him as he pulled off a massive save to deny Nahki Wells. It was a sweet moment for Camp and one that seriously spared his side their blushes.
That win puts the Birmingham fans into 8th in the table as they continue to fly higher than their city rivals Aston Villa. Being 8th also means that they’re in the fight for a playoff place, and you wouldn’t bank against them at the moment given the goals and form of Che Adams, and the late heroics of Lee Camp being able to pull off massive moments like that late save yesterday.

Whilst the travelling Birmingham fans would much rather have seen the game stay at 4-0, they loved their sides late fight to hold out and save the penalty after conceding three goals to win it.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
