Many kids grow up hoping to score at the ground they watch their team at and Jude Bellingham was no different.
So when he secured a win for Birmingham City in his first-ever appearance at St. Andrew’s, it was safe to say he was pretty happy about it.
The pictures he posted of the moment following Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Stoke City showed just how delighted he was:
Over the moon to score the winner on my home debut, even better than how I dreamt it. Thanks to all my team mates and of course the amazing fans. Hungry for more.#KRO #22 @bcfc pic.twitter.com/puxOPremso

It turns out there were plenty of bluenoses who were also over the moon for the 16-year-old following his monumental moment.
This was his third appearance for the club he supported as a kid, having made his debut in the 3-0 Carabao Cup loss against Portsmouth, before coming on for the final 14 minutes of Blues’ 3-0 defeat to Swansea City, both of which were away, as per Transfermarkt.
Bellingham’s goal is another indicator that he can be an exciting prospect for Blues, with his performance being the only positive for Birmingham on his debut against Portsmouth, as indicated by The Birmingham Mail’s ratings for that match, where the 16-year-old’s 7.5 was the best they gave any player.
A selection of Twitter reaction to the goal, including posts from delighted Birmingham fans, can be seen below:
