Birmingham City earned a good win for themselves at the weekend in the Sky Bet Championship as they beat Nottingham Forest 2-1 at St Andrew’s.
The Blues will be looking to finish as high as possible this season and ensure that they are not dragged into a battle at the bottom.
Beating Forest, then, showed what they can do when they are at their best and fans will hope they can use that as a springboard for the rest of the season.
Of course, we are now out of the transfer window and Pep Clotet will have to work with what he has got until the summer.
Marcus Maddison, of course, ended up not joining the club and instead went on loan to Hull with the Birmingham Mail reporting on Darragh MacAnthony’s comments that underlined the attacking midfielder dragged out the move to the Blues over wages – before the club pulled out:
Let’s take a look at the reaction to this news:
So Blues did the right thing based on the circumstances… Fair play to them.

What I would do to have owners who are as open and transparent as this guy. He is an actual breath of fresh air! #BCFC

Credit where credit is due. Fair play @XuandongRen

Rather lose him than have a foul attitude in the camp. Don't need him

To be fair we did the right thing

Sounds like a proper diva, similar to the situation with Bright

Looks like we dodged a bullet.
