Birmingham City drew with Middlesbrough last night in the Sky Bet Championship as they earned a point amid rather controversial circumstances on Teesside.
The Blues thought that they had won the game but for their second goal of the night to be ruled out with Marcus Tavernier down with an injury and Boro’s medical staff rushing onto the pitch.
Many felt as though the goal could have stood whilst Boro will argue that they were fearing for Tavernier’s welfare with concern on the pitch also visible.
A draw is how it ended, then, but fans also had an eye on the game involving their second-city rivals, Aston Villa, as Blues fan Troy Deeney opened the scoring for them against Watford and gave them a bit of stick too.
