Bristol City: Fans go mad for Korey Smith’s commentary on Robins TV after last-minute winner

Many Bristol City fans are calling for Korey Smith to return to the commentary box after hearing him celebrate the Robins’ last-minute winner versus Charlton.

City’s Twitter account posted a video from Robins TV of Josh Brownhill’s injury-time goal, in which you can hear centre midfielder Smith go absolutely crazy when the ball flies past Dillon Phillips in the Charlton net.

The game finished 2-1 to Bristol City after a thrilling second half at Ashton Gate.

Macauley Bonne put the Addicks ahead in the 65th minute after he took the ball around Daniel Bentley, who was arguably guilty for rushing out far too hastily.

10 minutes later and Famara Diedhiou levelled the scores after nodding home from close range.

Add another 10 minutes and there was more drama – again involving Diedhiou. This time it wasn’t good news for Bristol City though, after he got sent off for kicking out at Jason Pearce while he was on the floor, erupting handbags between the two sides.

It would be City who would have the final laugh, though, as Josh Brownhill poked home from a wondrous Kasey Palmer ball in the 98th minute, causing Korey Smith to go mad.

Here are the responses from Bristol City fans to the commentary…
