Whilst much of the build-up to England’s 7-0 win over Montenegro last night consisted of Raheem Sterling and Joe Gomez talk, the chatter after it has been a lot more positive.
England are heading to EURO 2020 after hammering their opponents at Wembley last night, with the likes of Harry Kane and Ben Chilwell impressing at the national stadium.
And, despite only featuring for a small amount of time, young forward Tammy Abraham also generated some interest and praise with his goal as he helped wrap up the thumping.
Indeed, he’s come a long way in recent years with him now leading the line for high-flying Chelsea, and it shouldn’t be forgotten that he first really showed what he could do at senior level for Bristol City.
Certainly, that fact was not lost on Robins fans last night as they took to Twitter to pass on their congratulations to the forward with some classy messages.
Let’s take a look at what has been said on social media…
Remember when we were 1nil down to Wigan and Tammy Abraham came on with 10 mins remaining.Well done @tammyabraham 1st England goal.Bristol City Loves you.
