The centre-forward was an ex-U’s player and started his career while at Oxford, however, he rarely made an appearance for the side, featuring just seven times in the league before being sold by the club to Didcot Town.
Taylor then signed for Bristol Rovers as they dropped into the National League, helping them get back into the EFL with their first crack of the whip.
At Rovers, he managed to score a remarkable 67 goals in 132 appearances, while also helping Rovers get promoted into the third tier of English football.
Since joining Bristol City, he has started 23 games and has come on in 44 matches, only scoring the seven goals.
Now, Taylor will go all the way back to where is started by moving back to Oxford. The club are currently sat 11th after winning one, losing one and drawing one.
Ironically, Oxford United face Bristol Rovers on Saturday – meaning it would be the first time Taylor would play against his former side since leaving them for their biggest rivals.
Lots of Robins fans have responded on Twitter to the loan deal. Many have wished the player luck and also have given a few motivational messages to try and get him to score against the Gas on Saturday.
