Bristol City: Fans share love for Han-Noah Massengo after Derby win

Many Bristol City fans on Twitter have responded to Han-Noah Massengo after the club’s 2-1 win against Derby last night.

City’s new signing got fans excited by saying “massive hair, massive win. We keep going”, after they sailed into the top six after their fourth game of the league campaign.

For Massengo, this was his first start in the league for the club after he joined from Monaco for an undisclosed fee.

The recently turned 18-year-old (July 7) signed a four-year contract at Ashton Gate, keeping him tied to the club until 2022.

The holding midfielder featured seven times for Monaco last season, including playing three times in the Champions League.

Massengo had a good game, and brought fantastic energy, according to Bristol Post reporter Gregor MacGregor. A report from him says that the midfielder was “everywhere” and “didn’t lose his discipline or focus later in the game as the action became more fraught and the Rams more testy in trying to claw their way into the game.”

Andreas Weimann and Josh Brownhill were the goal scorers for the Robins, both bagging in the first half; in the 16th and 46th minute respectively.

Jack Marriott managed to grab one back in the 85th minute, but Bristol City had enough about them to hold onto the win and take a vital three points back to the West Country.
