Charlton Athletic fans have responded to news that the club have signed former Brighton attacker Tomer Hemed.
The 32-year-old joined the club after a deal was agreed to terminate his current contract with the Seagulls.
Hemed has now signed a one-year deal with Lee Bowyer’s side, making it their 14th signing of the summer.

The Israeli moved to Brighton in 2015 after spells with his home club Maccabi Haifa, before a move to Spain playing for Real Mallorca and then Almeria.
Once joining Brighton, he made 103 appearances for the club, scoring on 33 occasions, according to the club website.
The forward is no stranger to the Championship, having played 108 games within the division – more than he has in any other league – and scoring 35 goals, while assisting eight, according to Transfermarkt.
Head coach of Brighton Graham Potter opened up on the deal allowing him to leave, stating that it was his desire to play regular football which made the deal happen.
He said (The Argus): “At this stage in his career Tomer wants to play regular football and at Charlton he has the opportunity to do that.
“There’s no doubt he’s been a great player for this club. He played an integral part in winning promotion from the Championship, and scored some crucial goals in the Premier League.”
Speaking to the club website, Hemed let all of the Charlton fans know how excited he is to be there.
He said: “I am very happy to be here, I am excited to be here and start the season with the team. I’ve already missed a few games so I can’t wait for the next one and to be involved and be a part of the rest of the season.
“They’ve brought me here to score goals first of all, so obviously I will do my best every game to help the team. If it’s to score goals or give assists… in any way, just to help the team to get the points and achieve the targets for this season.”
It appears Charlton fans echo that excitement, if Twitter is anything to go by. After the club announced his signing, a number of fans came in to share both their enthusiasm and relief that the signing got over the line.

LB & SG have done a fantastic job once again but we can’t keep doing this every season, at some point we’ve got to build a settled squad which can be improved. We won’t be this lucky every season.
