Many Charlton fans have given a mixed response to grabbing a point versus Nottingham Forest at the Valley last night.
The Addicks were held to a 1-1 draw after dominating the first half, however, a goal from Albert Adomah in the final 15 minutes rescued a point for Forest.
Lee Bowyer said after the match (BBC): “I said to them at half-time that that was the best 45 minutes I have witnessed since I have been in charge. We were frightening and created numerous chances and should have been two or three up.
“We suffered at the end because we got tired. We are all disappointed but I am proud because to put in a performance like that, in and out of possession, was great to watch.
“You can get punished easily and Forest score a goal from a corner that hits someone and drops down.
“Did they deserve to get a point? I don’t think so but if you don’t take your chances there is always a chance that can happen.”
There was a mixed response from Charlton fans, who were both grateful to see their club doing so well, but ultimately feel as if they should have won the game, which is perhaps a strong indication as to how good their start of the season has been. Indeed, unbeaten in the league and sitting fifth in the table, the Addicks are looking as if they can cut it at this level, something Bowyer said they must prove they can do at the start of the season.

Should have been out of sight first half.

great point but feels like a loss compared to first half should’ve had it in the bag at half time

Game should have been dead and buried by half time. Disappointing result but a least it adds another point

Let it slip second half but a point from a good championship team, not too shabby

Should never even make one substitution while defending a corner, let alone two. Hope Lee learns from that. Rare mistake from an incredibly good manager. Should’ve brought Pratley on a few minutes earlier
