Many Charlton fans have responded positively to a club tweet which rinses Crystal Palace.
The club account tweeted after their U23 side managed to beat local rivals Crystal Palace U23s 2-1 at Selhurst Park. They wrote, “The Addicks come away from the Surrey border with all three points!”, implying that the football club is not in South London but rather the county of Surrey.
According to the official website, the Addicks came from behind against Palace to win all three points yesterday afternoon. Kareem Isiaka scored the first for them, and despite the home side missing a lot of chances to go back ahead, Ben Dempsey managed to score the winner for Lee Bowyer’s men.
Charlton have got off to a great start this season, currently sitting seventh after 12 games, just four points off the top of the league and two points off Leeds in the automatic spots.
