Derby County boosted their hopes of making a late run into the play-offs at the weekend as they beat Blackburn Rovers 3-0 at Pride Park in the Sky Bet Championship.
The Rams have been up and down this season under Phillip Cocu with off-field matters dominating the headlines at the start of the season.
Indeed, there has been plenty of upheaval with uncertainty from the summer bleeding into the campaign but, in more recent times, the Dutchman and his players have begun to strike a chord.
Wayne Rooney’s arrival, naturally, has helped proceedings and now, heading into the final weeks of the season, the Rams have a chance of making the play-offs.
Cocu, then, deserves credit for the way he has gone about business this season – even if the top six isn’t achieved – and Rams fans on Twitter have been discussing that on social media after their win over Rovers.
Let’s take a look at the best of what has been said:
For all the negativity we've seen this season, we are only 5 points worse off than we were after 37 games last year! To lose Mount, Wilson and Tomori, and only be 5 points worse off, I'd say Cocu's doing an awesome job. #dcfc

If Lampard would have gone sooner and Cocu had more time to asses his squad and tweak it here and there, I think we would have been in the top six by now. In any case he's done very well despite all the setbacks on and off the pitch.

And Anya being out injured again.

Think a year outside the playoffs wouldn't be the worst thing for this group
Having said that I would be buzzing if we made it in

And all the things off the pitch too

And Keogh, Bryson, Johnson, Carson. And drink-drive gate. And no pre season.
