Holgate and Murphy must start today - Championship

West Brom have been sublime in recent times as they continue to march towards the automatic promotion places, with a win today pushing them even closer towards the Premier League.

The Baggies managed to secure a vital three points against Queens Park Rangers recently, with a late Jake Livermore goal sending the away end into an absolute frenzy at Loftus Road.

Darren Moore’s side will welcome Sheffield United to the Hawthorns later on today in their next fixture. The Blades have been one of the form teams in the Championship recently, having won their last two games and they’re unbeaten in their last five league games, so it won’t be easy.

So, with a season-defining match coming up later on today, West Brom will embarrass Sheffield United if Moore turns to these TWO players…

Mason Holgate has been simply sensational since moving to the Hawthorns, with his performance against the Hoops recently being his best yet. The Englishman started the move that led to Jefferson Montero’s goal and delivered the cross Jake Livermore dispatched in the dying embers.

The full-back has been solid in defence and he’s an accomplished crosser of the ball, so he will play a crucial part when it comes to delivering balls into the box and stopping Enda Stevens from marauding forward.

Jacob Murphy has proved to be one of the signings of the January transfer window for the Baggies already, as he’s managed to score two goals and put in yet another dominant performance last time out. He produced a stunning goal for West Brom’s second of the game and looked a constant threat all night.

Indeed, the Englishman could be the man to rip Sheffield United’s defence apart later on today, with his pace, dribbling and ability to make runs in behind set to cause the Blades all sorts of problems.
