West Brom will be desperate to keep their team together and continue their promotion push into the New Year.
So far, that remains the case as the Baggies are in and amongst the top six teams, who all dream of a top-flight return.
None dream it more than Darren Moore and with the squad of players he has available, West Brom could be prime for an immediate bounce back.
However, those aspirations could be tarnished if Leicester decide to recall Harvey Barnes, who has been so influential in West Brom’s campaign.
If that was to happen, it could be very bad for the Baggies promotion chances but they could flip that around, requesting to loan Fousseni Diabate from the Foxes instead.
Diabate, (who is valued at £2.7 million on Transfermarkt) has been used just once in the Premier League this season, which highlights what an outcast he has become under manager Claude Puel.
A once promising youngster has been reduced to watching from the sidelines, halting any potential progress he could have quickly made as a player.
Yet he is still just 23 and could be reawakened with a move down to the Championship with West Brom.
Fousseni Diabate is a capable forward, with the ability to play on either wing and up-front as the main man.
West Brom won’t necessarily be looking for a winger but if Harvey Barnes was to be re-called, Matt Phillips could adjust to a more central role, making room for Diabate to show his talent on the wing.
Any potential deal would hinge on what happens with Harvey Barnes but West Brom must have ideas in mind if they’re forced to replace such a vital player in their team.
