West Brom know they have a great chance at gaining promotion this season, straight after being relegated last time out.
If they were to do that, it would be a terrific achievement for the players and manager Darren Moore.
West Brom are a big club who would believe themselves that the Premier League is where they belong.
With the right signings, it would be a much more manageable task to achieve their quest and signing another striker to contend with Jay Rodriguez and Dwight Gayle is a sensible idea, especially with the latter only on loan from Newcastle United.
Not only could a player like Ivan Toney provide competition but he has shown this season the potential to even take over and be the frontman for West Brom.
Toney, (who is valued at £450k on Transfermarkt) has 16 goals in 33 appearances this season, becoming the standout man for Peterborough in League One.
Having now had the vital experience of playing regular football, there is no reason as to why Ivan Toney wouldn’t be a success at the Hawthorns.
At the age of 22, he could show he is ready for a move to a higher level, with Peterborough not necessarily ready to do some themselves.
He left Newcastle in the summer with the hope of shining on a regular basis, which he has now done.
Ivan Toney has given his all on the pitch, proving to be a huge asset for Peterborough, with goals and assists to his name.
Although West Brom currently have goalscoring forwards, only two out-and-out ones albeit, meaning should one become injured, there could be problems.
Not only could Ivan Toney help that but he could prove to be a big help in their promotion push.
