2 Premier League youngsters who can enhance Leeds United’s squad in January

Leeds United are still looking ahead this season after their rampant start has seen them position themselves right among the promotion picture in the Championship.

Despite falling behind Sheffield United and West Brom, the Whites and manager Marcelo Bielsa will be confident of maintaining their challenge, as they seek to finally reclaim a spot in the top flight after 15 years in the wilderness.

With a squad which doesn’t look too high on numbers, injuries to the likes of Pablo Hernandez and Kemar Roofe have already shown that Leeds could do with adding a few more players to the ranks when the January window rolls around.

The winter period is always a tricky time to go adding players to the squad, but we at the Tavern think that signing some young Premier League talent might be the way forward, with top flight clubs no doubt keen to see some of their youngsters go out and get that much needed first team experience.

Of course, the player himself must be good enough to warrant a move to a top end Championship club like Leeds, but we think we’ve identified a couple.

Here’s TWO Premier League youngsters who could help Leeds United in January…

Ademola Lookman

Despite an excellent season out on loan last year with RB Leipzig, the young forward has so far failed to hold down any sort of regular place in the Everton XI this term.

This could well open the door for a short-term January move, and Leeds could well be a club who interest Lookman.

Quick, good in front of goal, and with an appetite to impress, Lookman would be a superb addition to the Whites squad come January.

Ethan Ampadu

The Chelsea and Wales youngster is already regarded as one of the top talents in the country, but he is unlikely to see a vast amount of game time this season at Stamford Bridge.

Therefore, a move to Leeds could well be a massive benefit to Ampadu and Chelsea in the long term.

A classy midfield player who can also slot in at the back, Ampadu would indeed be a superb addition for the Whites if they can broker a deal.
