Leeds United and Aaron Lennon are almost at different vortexes away from each other. While the Whites remain on-course to return to the Premier League after more than a decade, the former Spurs winger is struggling to get playing time at Burnley.
However, according to the Sun, the Burnley outcast is wanted by Leeds. Having started his professional career at the club, Lennon could actually benefit highly from the move back to where it all began for him. The electric winger can only be signed after this season’s over, and he’ll add some vital Premier League experience to Marcelo Bielsa’s men.
Lennon knows the tricks and trades of the Premiership inside out and will bring stability to the Peacocks if they make the jump.
Not only is Lennon still a dangerous outlet, having retained his dangerous pace and impressive crossing ability, he’s also Leeds through and through. A local boy, he’ll play with his heart on his sleeve to help the Whites wither the storm in the Premier League
The pacy winger has the ability to blend into Biesla’s system, being able to draft into multiple positions in attack. He’ll be a guiding figure towards Leeds’ inexperienced and young attacking talents, giving the likes of Patrick Bamford, Tyer Roberts and Kemar Roofe tips and confidence to raise their game.
Lennon has nothing to lose and everything to gain from a move back to Leeds and can help usher in a new era for the Whites if they return to the Premier League next season.
