All of Leeds’ attention must be on Bournemouth’s Jack Simpson

Is automatic promotion still a realistic achievement? With Marcelo Bielsa at the wheel, anything is possible and Leeds fans everywhere are loving life right now. Forget Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the Argentine manager is the one changing the state of play in the North West.

They have performed so well for the entirety of this season but that cannot stop now as Leeds still have plenty of games to play.

Their stubborn defence, creative midfield and clinical frontmen have made all the difference this season, giving the Peacocks their best chance in years to gain promotion back into the top flight.

The credit, of course, is due to the impact Bielsa has made but whether or not his side does complete the task at hand, they need to go out and spend during the summer transfer window.

It may not be the signing that will make all the difference but a fantastic squad option for Leeds whether they’re playing Premier League football or not could be Bournemouth’s centre-back Jack Simpson.

Simpson, (who is valued at £450k on Transfermarkt) has in recent weeks brought himself back in contention at Bournemouth, having made his second appearance for them against Manchester City.

That’s all well and good until you realise that Jack Simpson is 22-years-old and right now fails to play regularly.

Leeds are a club that have far less defensive options and could bolster their team with the capture of the Englishman.

The former England U21 star has made six appearances this season but he could see that tally increase hugely with a move to a club like Leeds. Having lost Lewis Cook to the Cherries, it could be time for revenge, even if just on loan. Indeed, the idea of joining Biesla at Elland Road must excite any young player looking to truly kickstart his career.

At his age, regular football should be his concern and if Leeds were to be interested, surely that’s a move that suits all involved.

Leeds fans, do you rate Jack Simpson? Would you back any move for him? Join the discussion by commenting below…
