Leeds fans in the Transfer Tavern are saddened that the season has to continue, considering how bad their team have played recently. The summer will prove to be a very important time and a way for Leeds to signal their intent for next season.
Leeds had the potential to do so well this season and with themselves sitting firmly in the play-off places in December, it has really been a drastic decline since then. Elland Road has not been a happy place recently and the only way to renew the optimism around the ground is to bring in some exciting names this summer.
Us punters have come to the conclusion that despite the injury-hit season he has endured, Abel Hernandez could prove to be a great signing for Leeds and their hopes of returning to the Premier League. The Hull forward has only managed to feature in eight games but in those games, the 27-year-old scored seven times, proving he is a quality Championship goalscorer. He has scored more goals in eight games this year compared to his 24 appearances in the Premier League last term.
The pacey forward would be a great and welcomed addition at Elland Road and if he stayed fit, Hernandez would guarantee at least 15 goals we strongly believe.
Hull’s season could have been so different if Hernandez managed to avoid injury as the forward is a quality goal-getter in the Championship. Considering Hernandez is only valued at £6.30 million on Transfermarkt, this is an amazing price for a man who previously scored 22 goals in a Championship season.
