‘Baller’, ‘Looks cracking’ – Leeds United fans on Twitter tip youngster for big future after derby strike

The Leeds fans in the Transfer Tavern have gone a long time since they last won a derby. Although yesterday they broke their drought through the club’s U18s. A 2-0 win over Huddersfield courtesy of goals from Bobby Kamwa and Theo Hudson has had the fans buzzing over the quality of their youth as their senior squad is giving little to shout about at the moment.

The Whites took the lead in the game through some calamity defending at the back from the young Huddersfield side, giving Hudson an easy enough chance which he finished with aplomb. However, the champagne moment of the match came through the young number 10, Bobby Kamwa. The young midfielder was fed the ball as Huddersfield failed to capitalise on a long throw-in and showed great strength in holding off a challenge before curling a wonderful effort into the far corner.

The goal has had Leeds fans on Twitter throwing praise at Kamwa for what was an incredible goal that has helped to stretch the young side to eight wins in their last nine games. The senior squad can only dream of that kind of form at the moment as they continue to fall below their own standards. Paul Heckingbottom’s side has only managed two wins since the turn of the year as the Yorkshire club drift towards another meaningless season in the Championship.
