Bielsa’s Leeds linked with remarkable summer move for talented PL duo

Leeds United’s huge appointment of Marcelo Bielsa appears to have given the club a chance of signing a number of talented individuals this summer, and the fans in the Transfer Tavern would be desperate for their side to take advantage.

The Chilean was named as the new Whites manager last week, and will have the task of rebuilding the Elland Road outfit into a strong team that can contend with the rest of the Championship sides for a place in the Premier League.

The 62-year-old has a wealth of experience in the game and has created a number of contacts during his time, which he could be about to use to his and Leeds’ benefit if reports are to be believed.

According to a respected Leeds United blogger Simon O’Rourke, the Whites have the opportunity to bring Manchester City’s Phil Foden and Tottenham’s Juan Foyth to Yorkshire this season on temporary deals, both of which would surely represent remarkable coups if they make the move to Elland Road this summer.

Landlord’s Verdict: Bielsa has links with both Pep Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino, so possible moves would not be out of the question, yet it does remain to be seen on whether anything does come of it.

Foden would offer the attacking edge that Leeds need in front of goal, having struggled to find a player who would be able to hit the back of the net consistently, whilst Foyth would be able to help strengthen the defence alongside Pontus Jansson.

The locals would be delighted if these two stars would arrive – however, they both may want to try and push into their main side’s first-team rather than spend time on loan elsewhere.
