Leeds United fans are excited in the Transfer Tavern as they wait to see who Marco Bielsa will add to the squad.
Since Marco Bielsa has arrived in Yorkshire, the hunt for a striker has been well underway. Abel Hernandez has been linked with a move to the club while it seems Derby’s Matej Vydra, is the frontrunner to join the club. Recently, however, Leeds have been linked with Algerian forward, Baghdad Bounedjah.
The 26-year-old has been a consistent scorer during his time playing for Qatari side, Al Sadd. In the last two seasons, Bounedjah has scored 39 goals in the league according to Transfermarkt and chipped in a further nine in eight games in the Asian Champions League.
The forward is well aware of the interest in him due to his scintillating form and admitted in an interview with Gazzet du Fennec that his future lies in Europe.
“My ambition is Europe. I want to measure myself against others, to be fixed on my value.”
“I will not be original in quoting you… Barça and Real Madrid. I hope to find a club that will fit my style.”
With Bielsa coaching acumen and reputation, Bounedjah could be an exciting addition to the squad. United need forward options, and the Algerian could well be a handy one to bring in to the new look Leeds United.
