‘Boring’ – Leeds United fans on Twitter not happy with club’s summer plans

The Leeds fans in the Transfer Tavern have been glumly responding to the news that the club has released their schedule for the 2018/19 pre-season tour, via the Leeds website. The fans haven’t got any fixtures to be excited about, with a home fixture against Spanish side, Las Palmas being the most exciting game on the list.

At the moment it seems that Leeds United can’t in when it comes to pre and post season tours. The club announced earlier in the season that they would be embarking on a post-season tour of Myanmar where they played two friendly fixtures and delivered coaching sessions to the local children, although the news of the tour wasn’t taken well by the fans who disagreed with travelling to a place with so much political tension.

This time around the fans have nothing to worry about though, as the club won’t be leaving the country for their pre-season. The Yorkshire club will be taking on Forest Green Rovers, York City, Oxford United and Guiseley before they welcome Las Palmas to Elland Road in the last of their five-game pre-season preparations. The fans will be hoping that the dreary pre-season can at least be followed by an exciting Championship campaign as they look to gain promotion and end their 14-year spell outside of the top-flight.
