Leeds fans have been gathered in the transfer Tavern ever since Marco Bielsa was announced as Leeds boss this summer.
The Leeds revolution is gathering pace and it seems fans of the club could be set for a very exciting season. The club have been linked with a host of new signings but as of yet, have only brought in Lewis Baker. Marco Bielsa will need plenty of attacking options if he is going to get the Whites back to the Premier League and one midfielder they should target, is Peterborough midfielder, Marcus Maddison.
Earlier this, Peterborough boss, Darragh MacAnthony, revealed that a mystery club had activated Maddison’s release clause.
The midfielder was superb for the Posh last year but was put on the transfer list as the club looked to cash in on one of their best players. Scoring 12 goals while providing 22 assists, Maddison would be a great addition to Bielsa’s new look Leeds side. After four seasons with Peterborough, Maddison is more than ready to make the move to the next level having reached double digits in assists for the last three seasons.
Maddison would be an ideal fit for Leeds as he’s a classy midfielder who can score, pick a final pass and can play as a 10, or in either side of the midfield. The former Newcastle man was a big contributor in Jack Marriot’s 27 goals in League One last season and if Leeds can capture his signature, they might just have a future star in their hands.
