‘Can they take Orta to the airport?’ – Leeds United fans on Twitter react to agreement reveal

The Leeds fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to the news that the club has partnered with the taxi company, Uber, in a bid to reduce congestion and pollution in the city. The partnership will encourage Leeds fans to leave their cars at home and use Uber to connect with the public transport options. You can read more about the partnership on the Leeds website.

The club’s partnership with Uber is the best news to come out of Elland Road in a while, as results have been dire on the pitch recently. Whilst the club’s efforts to reduce the city’s carbon footprint and make matchdays less of a strain on the traffic around Elland Road is commendable and should be followed by The Premier League and Championship’s other big clubs, it won’t impact results on the pitch.

The Leeds fans are desperate for a change of some sort at the moment as they’re preparing to suffer another season in the Championship next year, taking their tally to nine seasons without going up or down. The club entered the new year with high hopes of finishing in a playoff spot come the end of the season, although just two months later manager, Thomas Christiansen had been sacked. Now, almost three on from his sacking, Paul Heckingbottom’s Leeds sit 14th and look lifeless.
