Christiansen reveals part of Leeds’ plans ahead of final week of transfer window

Our Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern have seen plenty of change and positivity around their club recently so they’ve always got something to say to one another.

The men from Elland Road saw their club reacquire the stadium in the summer whilst Andrea Radrizzani became sole owner and Thomas Christiansen became manager.

For sure, then, it’s been a summer of change with plenty arriving and the likes of Charlie Taylor and Chris Wood leaving but so far they have been unbeaten in the league.

Attention now, though, is turning to their EFL Cup game against Newport County but some are still keeping an eye on what could happen in the remaining week or so in the window.

Indeed, whilst giving his pre-match press conference, Christiansen was asked about whether he’d look to sign a new centre-back for the window shuts but it seems as though that will not be happening.

He said, as quoted by @LUFCDATA on Twitter:

It appears, then, that the focus will be on other areas of the pitch between now and deadline day in terms of potential new signings.

Landlord’s Verdict

Christiansen is doing a good job at the moment and many Leeds fans are already trusting him with the decisions he is making in the market.

There’s been a lot of player changes so far but most seem to be looking good at the moment and so if a new centre-back is not the priority, our local Whites are happy with that.
