Contact made as Leeds look to bolster attack with classy star

Our Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are gearing up for another big game tonight in the Championship as they host promotion rivals Fulham at Elland Road.

The two sides will both feel that a return to the Premier League is possible this season with the Whites taking on a team that pipped them at the post for the play-offs last year.

There’s plenty riding on this early game tonight, then, but whilst we wait for kick-off, some of our local Whites fans have been indulging themselves in some transfer stories – with one involving Ross McCormack.

Indeed, according to TeamTalk, the Whites have made contact over a potential loan deal for their former striker with Chris Wood’s future still up in the air right now.

Indeed, Wood has been subject of Premier League interest this summer but even if he stays many of our local Leeds punters would like to see a return for the Scottish international McCormack.

He’d probably jump at the chance, too, with his time at Aston Villa proving to be pretty difficult at the moment.

Landlord’s Verdict

McCormack could be a pivotal player in this season’s race for promotion. Though he’s not been at it for Aston Villa his quality cannot be denied and if he pulls it together for a team like the Villans, or indeed Leeds, he could seriously help fire them to promotion.

Leeds, then, should try and get this one done as soon as possible.
