The Leeds fans in the Transfer Tavern have been responding to a story in the Yorkshire Evening Post that Spanish midfielder, Pablo Hernandez is currently in contract talks and a deal for the influential 32-year-old is in the pipeline. Leeds fans are in agreement that Hernandez has been head and shoulders above the rest of an under-performing Leeds side this year as they look to the next campaign with Hernandez leading the promotion charge.

The Leeds fans propping our bar up will still be frustrated that they couldn’t capitalise on the struggling Sunderland on Saturday as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Elland Road. The Whites are currently 13th in the Championship and if it wasn’t for their rip-roaring form under Thomas Christiansen in the first half of the season then they’d be looking like relegation candidates with just two wins from 16 games in 2018. The club have lost hope of finishing in a playoff spot and will be hoping that next season can bear more fruit.
The Leeds United horror show continues as they travel to Preston North End tonight in the hope of gaining some momentum ahead of next season. The players and fans all know that the club has nothing to fight for and will be hoping that if they can secure a few wins from their last five matches then it could provide them with a solid foundation going into the 2018/19 campaign in August. If this is to happen, Pablo Hernandez will be key, his class has shone through despite being apart of a side that have picked up just 12 points out of a possible 48 in the new year.

Our best player by a country mile.Should have been tied up ages ago.If he wants to know who we plan to sign in the summer I don't blame him.Must be fed up with playing with some of the current squad.

So many clueless fans on social media. Do you actually know anything about the club & players you claim to support?
He's just had another baby & his wife wants to move back to Spain. The issues are not football related, it's family related. He's already said he wants to stay
