David Prutton delivers promising verdict on Leeds United’s trip to Middlesbrough tonight

The Leeds United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping a big performance this weekend against Middlesbrough can help warm the cockles as the Beast for the East takes hold. Indeed, life under Paul Heckingbottom has proven really rather inconsistent thus far, though the punters propping up our bar want to remain optimistic.

With that in mind, David Prutton’s prediction for the game tonight has gone down a storm amongst our resident Whites. Speaking to Sky Sports, the EFL expert revealed he’s backing the away side to turn Tony Pulis’ team over at the Riverside Stadium on what’s bound to be a cold evening.

Though the former Elland Road favourite hasn’t always endeared himself to the Yorkshire giants with some of his predictions, he’s come out strong in predicting his former charges will predict what would be a big win for Heckingbottom, especially coming after their positive result last week,

”Paul Heckingbottom finally got his first win as Leeds boss last week and they will hope to kick on from there and push back towards where they want to be”, he said.

‘This will be a tight game that could go either way, but I fancy Leeds to just sneak it.”

Landlord’s Verdict:

With Boro having thrown the game away against Sunderland last week, there’s certainly a chance for Leeds tonight. A win would be huge for Paul Heckingbottom and his men, so our local Leeds lot will be hoping Prutton is right.
