Dominic Solanke would fire Leeds United back into the Premier League

Leeds have lost their place at the top of the Championship table following a draw against Sheffield Wednesday.

Marcelo Bielsa had his first taste of a Yorkshire derby at Hillsborough and will be disappointed to leave with only a point. The Whites fell behind on the stroke of half-time with Adam Reach scoring a superb volley from range. Leeds found their equaliser through Mateusz Klich but were unable to add to the scoreline.

The result moves Leeds to second in the Championship table with West Brom taking full advantage of their dip in form. With Bielsa’s high-intensity tactics seemingly taking a toll on the squad, the Argentine would be wise to bolster his ranks. If the Whites want to continue their push for promotion, reinforcements are needed.

One man they should target is Liverpool youngster – Dominic Solanke. Valued at £9m by Transfermarkt, the English forward is yet to feature for the Reds this season. With Divock Origi returning from loan and Daniel Sturridge enjoying a revival at the club, Solanke remains way down the pecking order on Merseyside.

Klopp has chosen to loan both Harry Wilson and Ben Woodburn to Championship during the summer and could be tempted to do the same with Solanke to benefit his development. The 21-year-old would give Bielsa another quality option in attack and allow him to keep his forwards fresh during busy periods of the season. The England U21 international will be desperate to impress and prove himself worthy of a place in Klopp’s plans.

This move would greatly benefit both parties involved.
