Ezgjan Alioski could be Leeds’ downfall against West Brom

Leeds United will be desperate to return to winning ways tonight after losing to Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road last time out.

The Whites missed out on the opportunity to climb into first position in the English capital last time out as they were beaten 1-0, so they’ll have their sights set on turning things around against the Baggies.

Indeed, the Yorkshire club will welcome West Bromwich Albion to Elland Road tonight in their next Championship fixture. The Baggies failed to get the better of Sheffield United last time out, so they’ll be desperate to put things right and get their automatic promotion bid back on track by claiming all three points.

Of course, supporters may be slightly worried about a number of players potentially costing them tonight, especially after witnessing their last performance against the Hoops.

One man who may just let Marcelo Bielsa down tonight is Ezgjan Alioski.

The Macedonian international has been inconsistent all season as he often follows up a positive performance with a negative one, which certainly hasn’t helped the players around him. He’s been used at left-back in recent times and it’s worked to a certain extent, but things haven’t always been pretty in the defensive third.

Alisoki got beaten a bit too easily on one occasion to allow QPR a good opportunity to cross and he continued to struggle against Pawel Wszolek in the second half, so it’s safe to say he’s not the most reliable of figures.

Therefore, Bielsa could learn to regret picking (as per Daily Star) the 27-year-old at left-back for tonight’s game as the likes of Jacob Murphy and Jefferson Montero could definitely exploit his defensive weaknesses.
