Our Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to the summer as they are expecting some good signings for their club in the transfer window.
The men from Elland Road just missed out on the play-offs last season but will feel as though they saw enough from their team to suggest a promotion surge in 2017/18 isn’t out of the question.
Of course, that is easier said than done and getting players in is going to be important in that respect but the signing of Garry Monk to a new deal is also going to be of significance to the season ahead.
No deal has been done just yet, of course, but former Leeds man Danny Mills has been quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post as saying that he feels an agreement will be reached between Monk and the club.
“I’d expect Garry to be here for another season at the very least.
“I hear all the talk and yes, they’ll have things to sort out but this is a good fit for both parties and I think they know that.”
Promising stuff for Leeds fans to hear, then, but they’ll of course be eager to see their side actually follow up on Mills’ words before they can really start getting excited.
