George Saville could be a strong addition to Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United

Marcelo Bielsa made a perfect start to life in the Championship with Leeds United.

The Whites faced recently relegated Stoke City on the opening day of the season. Mateusz Klich opened the scoring and Pablo Hernandez doubled the advantage on the stroke of half-time. A Benik Afobe penalty reduced the deficit before Liam Cooper sealed all three points on the hour mark.

Bielsa’s side looked great, should their form continue, they will definitely mount a challenge for promotion. Their transfer business has intensified in recent days, and more arrivals are surely needed before Thursday’s deadline. Indeed, with Ronaldo Vieira having departed, surely a central-midfielder is on the list.

One man they should consider is Millwall midfielder – George Saville. Valued at £1.35m by Transfermarkt, the 25-year-old was extremely impressive in the Championship last season after joining from Wolves. He netted ten goals from central midfield as well as notching one assist in 44 appearances, so certainly would come with a big pedigree in the second tier.

Saville is a well-rounded player who would slot seamlessly into the Whites midfield. His goals from the engine room could be vital if Leeds are to seal a return to the Premier League finally. Losing Viera is a big blow to many fans, but Saville’s arrival would quickly help them forget.

Bielsa must do everything in his power to get this one over the line.
