‘Ginger snake’ – Lots of Leeds fans have been slating rival after Phil Hay update

The Leeds fans in the Transfer Tavern have been tearing into their former manager and current Birmingham gaffer, Garry Monk for the way he’s treating the David Stockdale transfer. The Whites seem to think Monk is looking for revenge over them for not letting Stockdale leave, however, it seems he’s just holding out for the right deal according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The Leeds fans propping our bar up seem to think that Garry Monk has a vendetta over them as they continue to get frustrated with the fact that Birmingham are holding out for a better deal for David Stockdale. Leeds want the ‘keeper on a loan deal with an option to buy next summer, however, Birmingham want to get the experienced shot-stopper off of their books permanently and are only prepared to listen to transfer offers.

Leeds are desperate to get a goalkeeper on board as Marcelo Bielsa and co are fastly approaching their pre-season friendlies. The deal for Stockdale was expected to be completed last week but the clubs reached an impasse and with Stockdale currently training with City’s reserve squad and Monk having no intention of keeping him around it seems the only viable option is for the club to cash in on him, with Leeds needing to offer a better deal if they are to bring in the 32-year-old.

The Elland Road faithful in the Tavern are all pretty annoyed at Monk, when realistically if they upped their offer for Stockdale there wouldn’t be an issue.
