Our Leeds fans here in the Transfer Tavern are very happy with how their summer has gone so far and now the hope is that they get going quickly in the Championship this weekend.
The off-season is finally complete for the clubs in the second tier down to League 2 and the Championship is once again looking like it will be the most competitive division of all.
Indeed, Leeds are one of a number of sides who will feel that they can get going towards the play-offs at the very least in this campaign and so we should be in for a thrill ride.
For the Whites to do that, though, their new players and Thomas Christiansen will have to adapt to the league quickly whilst it also appears more signings could still be made.
Indeed, as quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post, the Whites’ manager said:
“I don’t know how many players but we are working on that to try to take or have the most competitive team that is possible. We are looking, put it like that.”
More positive news for Leeds fans, then, in a summer that has really yielded a feel-good factor around the club.
Now all they need to do is act on it.
Leeds have been very impressive with what they’ve done so far in the summer market and also the work behind the scenes to get things ship-shape has been superb.
They are well placed to surmount a promotion challenge, then, and if Christiansen can identify a couple more players that can add to that, Andrea Radrizzani is bound to back him with the funds.
