Leeds United fans here in the Tavern are hoping to earn their second victory under Paul Heckingbottom, but this won’t be an easy task as league leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers are up next in the Championship.
The Whites have been struggling to find their feet in recent weeks, as even the play-off places now look too far out of reach. Although, Paul Heckingbottom will want to make a huge statement of intent in their next Championship encounter, as they welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to Elland Road on Wednesday. And, supporters have received a huge boost heading into the midweek fixture, as according to reports in the Evening Post, Pablo Hernandez is back in contention for the clash against Wolves.
The Spaniard returned to training at Thorp Arch on Monday after a groin problem that he suffered in the recent draw against Derby County, and now looks like he could be in contention for Wednesday’s encounter.
However, Kemar Roofe won’t be as fortunate as his teammate, with a muscle strain keeping him out of Wednesday’s encounter. And, the same goes for former Wolves ‘keeper Andy Lonergan, as he still recovers from a stiff neck.
“Pablo has been back in training today.
“Lonners hasn’t, Roofey hasn’t and obviously the boys who have been out for a longer period are still unavailable so Pablo is the only change.”
Leeds supporters will be delighted that Pablo Hernandez is in contention for the match against the league leaders, as the Whites will look to take all three points at Elland Road. Although, news that Kemar Roofe remains on the sidelines will be a big blow for Paul Heckingbottom, as one of their key attackers so far this season.
